The highlight of the journey is the breathtaking Nub Tshonapata Lake, renowned for its turquoise waters, surrounded by lush and untouched forests. Trekking through dense rhododendron and juniper forests, the trail leads adventurers across spectacular passes reaching heights of up to 4350m above sea level. Embark on your trek with a gentle climb to Talela Pass at 3780m, winding through dense rhododendron and conifer forests. Ascend gradually to Tshojo, a yak herders’ camp, and continue to Gochula Pass at 4200m. Traverse a ridge before descending to the campsite at Womji.

Begin your day with a steep climb through juniper and rhododendron forests to Gochhila Pass at 4350m, offering panoramic views of the Tshejala range. Pass through yak herders’ camps, adorned with wildflowers in spring, en route to Tshejalum. Cross the ancient trade route from Haa to Tibet at Tshejala Pass.

Spend the day exploring the sacred lake’s surroundings, visiting yak herders’ camps, and perhaps catching sight of golden trout in the pristine waters or exploring the hillsides.

Retrace your steps to Gochhila Pass, then take an alternative route over a ridge to Lake Tsojo at 3780m. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the lakeshore before descending to the yak meadow camp at Tsojo.

Descend gradually through juniper and rhododendron forests to Talila Pass, re-entering the Haa Valley. Conclude your trek here, where transport awaits to transfer you to Paro. Overnight in Paro, altitude 2350m.
